The first floor consists of two en-suite bedrooms which face each other across the patio and a large summer sitting area or "snug" which overlooks the patio. The two bedrooms are decorated and furnished in contrasting styles and are known as the "African" and the "Indian" bedrooms. Each has an en-suite toilet and shower area finished in tadelakh (a polished wall finish).

The summer sitting area has an unusual open fireplace and cushions and seating. Privacy can be enhanced by drawing the curtains giving onto the patio. There are stereo speakers and a CD player in this area - ideal if you wish to bring your own music (the player can just be plugged into the active speakers). This is a large open area which is ideal for total relaxation. There is a good selection of books (in English) and games.
